Description: This artifact is an online assessment critique of the educational tool, IXL.

Rationale: This assessment critique showcases my understanding of assessment and evaluation because I analyze an assessment tool by breaking it down and looking at its different components including the type of assessment and learning objectives, then I compare these to the intended learner’s needs. Based on this analysis, I provide positive and negative properties of the tool and recommend solutions for improvement.

Description: This artifact showcases an assessment lesson and activity that my partner and I created and implemented in our class. 

 

Rationale: For this assessment showcase activity, my colleague and I were tasked with creating a lesson plan and assessment for the provided instruction. We developed the assessment by aligning the questions with our learning objectives and activities, then, we tested it after teaching the accompanying lesson plan. This evidences my ability to determine the relevant criteria and measure learner performance.
